Mistral Kitchen is always a good idea

It is always a pleasure to be at MistralKitchen even if the menu does not really change. For lunch or dinner, it is always a good idea. You can also choose to sit at the bar, for a glass of “Champagne du moment” or a great cocktail, and some small plates. They also have sidewalk tables with a nice view of the Space Needle.

Hamachi crudo, Italian charcuterie plate, and all the desserts are my favorites but Foie Gras Torchon, Seared Foie Gras, Manila Clams, Cheeses, Robuchon Potatoes, and Chicken are always delicious. For lunch, they serve a large and delicious wood-fired pizza (Tomato, Prosciutto di San Daniele and Arugula) and a fantastic salad with buratta.

Orient Yourself Downtown

Do you know this way to remember the order of the streets downtown?
The names of the 12 downtown streets are paired by their first letters. From South to North, they are:
Jefferson, James, Cherry, Columbia, Marion, Madison, Spring, Seneca, University, Union, Pike and Pine.

“Jesus Christ Made Seattle Under Protest”. What does it mean? Nothing! But if you memorize this weird sentence, next time you walk or drive downtown, you’ll be able to orient yourself better.

Boat Street Café

It is almost Summer! The Boat Street Cafe is a very nice hidden spot with a charming patio. The food is nice and the service friendly.
It is in walking distance of the Seattle Art Museum Olympic Sculpture Park. You should consider it if you are in this area.
