Palm Room in Ballard

I came across this place while I was walking around Ballard on Ballard Avenue. This store definitely caught my eye because of how green it was inside. This is a nice place, and it is all you can expect with all these plants around.

I went in seeking air plants and succulent for my new planter. I found exactly what I needed. They have a lot of cute and different sizes of succulent. I picked up several unique plants and small stones.

I will come back to buy some potted plants or arrangements.

If you are interested in getting a cement planter, let me know. I have one for you.

Casco Antiguo,
Best Mexican Restaurant
in Seattle?

I am still wondering why we did not go to Casco Antiguo sooner.

I don’t know if the Mexican food here is authentic but it is really good.

First, we shared the Queso Flameado (kind of melted cheese with chorizo), then we had some Pork Carnitas Tacos (Braised pork shoulder with a fantastic salsa verde) and Beef brisket Tacos. Unfortunately, they were out of the Pescado tacos (Mahi Mahi with a mango salsa) that we wanted to have. I want to taste those next time.

We could not resist ordering the churros. Yes I know this a lot of calories but seriously, don’t miss them, they were to die for.

I like the feel of the restaurant. It is an old building in Pioneer Square and as soon as you enter, you don’t feel like you are in Seattle anymore. There is also a small patio at the back of the restaurant.
